Registered Provisional Psychologist
What people love about Gemma:
People love Gemma’s authenticity and down-to-earth style. She shows up as a real, relatable person while remaining committed to evidence-based practice. Her sessions often include lightness, humour, and the occasional swear word, helping clients feel at ease even when discussing difficult topics. Because of her lived experience with OCD, people describe feeling deeply understood and validated. They also appreciate that Gemma does not push predetermined goals or timelines, instead prioritizing collaboration, choice, and a genuine sense of agency in the therapy process.
What your experience with Gemma would be like
The first session or two focuses on getting to know you, your history, and what you would like from therapy. From there, sessions are collaborative and guided by your goals and your pace. Gemma works to identify your strengths and build practical strategies that can transfer outside of the therapy room. She also helps clients explore patterns, underlying concerns, and core beliefs that may be contributing to current struggles. Her aim is to support meaningful change while creating a space where you can show up honestly and as your unfiltered self.
If you have issues with any of the following:
Addiction of any kind and other co-occurring mental health concerns/diagnoses, OCD and anxiety, emotional regulation (self-harm, coping skills), relationship challenges (communication, boundaries, breakups, domestic abuse), self-esteem, stress, life transitions, depression, ADHD, couples looking to improve conflict management, reconnection, and communication, and are 15+ through adult…
then Gemma might be a great fit for you!
