If a therapist isn’t available for a new client appointment right now, you can add your contact information to their waitlist, and we’ll reach out when appointments become available.
Waiting times for first appointments vary based on the clinician you choose. If the wait is too long, we suggest considering another therapist on the team who may have availability sooner.

A: No! Counselling is helpful during acute crises, but it’s also incredibly beneficial when life is going well. Mental health counselling in Calgary or Airdrie can help you develop tools to be proactive about your health, making it easier to maintain long-term well-being. You don’t need to be in a crisis to benefit from therapy—anyone, at any time, can gain something from therapy, especially if they’re open and willing to learn.
-
A: In your first appointment, we’ll gather information to understand the challenges you’re facing and get to know you better. From there, follow-up sessions will focus on checking in on progress, exploring new concerns, and continuing the work to help you meet your goals. Sessions will involve a combination of processing your thoughts, feelings, and experiences, using a variety of therapeutic approaches that best suit your situation.
Our therapies include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, EMDR, Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART).
-
A: Many clients prefer to meet every 1–3 weeks at first. After that, the frequency often shifts to 2–4 weeks between appointments. However, this depends on your needs and any financial boundaries. If you have a specific number of sessions in mind or are working with a particular schedule, please let us know. Therapy appointments tend to be more frequent for the first few months, and after that, they may become less frequent or have breaks as needed. You’re always welcome to return for more support at any time.
